I’ve posted this before, but a reminder can’t hurt: We’re hiring two tenure-track faculty this fall. The targeted research fields:
We invite applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions starting in September 2015, one in any area of theoretical physics or astrophysics, the other with a strong preference for biophysics or soft condensed matter (either experimental or theoretical). We encourage applications from interdisciplinary scientists and those who could make use of the college’s shared instrumentation resources (including AFM, SEM, micro-Raman and micro-FTIR instruments and IBM cluster computer).
(“Theoretical” modifies both “physics” and “astrophysics” there; English is maddeningly vague about order-of-operations, and I’ve already gotten a query about whether experimental astrophysics would be welcome…)
You can read the full description at the link above, and what you ought to send to where. I’ll add that we strongly encourage applications from women and underrepresented groups (a much longer diversity statement is included in the full text).
If you might be interested in this, follow the link, and send us an application. If you know anybody who might be interested (grad students, post-docs, unsatisfied faculty at other institutions), please encourage them to look at the ad and apply. The review of applications will begin in just over a month (October 10), so act quickly.
