  1. I’m have to say the “crowds” option because that is most similar to traffic. While I do all my shopping online, I live right next to a mall. So my drive from lab to home that normally takes 15min, takes close to an hour during December. Ugh!

  2. You need another option – my choice is “I don’t know – I haven’t been to a mall in a really long time and I wouldn’t be caught dead there now.”

  3. I have a problem with limited mobility, so parking suuuucks for me. On the weekends, I use the ‘honey, pleeeease drop me off and pick me up when I call’ method of parking.

  4. In addition to being crowds (yikes!), the crowds also bring cars, which makes the parking terrible. So the crowds are a two-fer answer.

Why have I not done more online shopping this year? Apparently, I’m an idiot.

  5. I object to this poll. The first four options, and more besides, are equally true, but I only get one choice.

  6. It’s not even so much finding a place to park, as getting stuck in a long line in a parking garage with no opportunity to exit even if you decide to bail.

  7. The crowds, because I go to a couple more shops during my weekly grocery shop for a couple of weeks (if I didn’t buy anything early, which is rare), but it seems like noone except for me can plan ahead. Way more people both in the supermarket and in the rest of the mall. Drives me NUTS. Plenty of parking at my local mall though, seems like people just ignore the few rows of underground parks that are farthest away from the mall entrance.

Now trying to get to the post-Christmas sales, I can understand crowds then.

  8. I really don’t know why, but I enjoy shopping in malls during Christmastime. I guess if I was in a rush or had to do a bunch of shopping I wouldn’t, but I’ve always thought it was kind of fun.

  9. People are very rude in public places all throughout the year, but there’s something about Christmas that really brings out the furious weasel part of human nature. I’m generally terrified whenever I go shopping but at Christmas it’s awful because people shove me and yell at me and let their squalling children run into me.
