Today is Kate’s first day back at work (part-time), so I’m home alone with SteelyKid. This doesn’t leave me much time or mental energy for blogging, so here’s a bonus baby picture for the week:
This one’s mostly for the grandparents, who bought her the Halloween outfit. You can’t see the jack-o-lantern face on the butt of the pants, and I’m not taking a picture of it because I’d like her to still talk to me when she gets old enough to work a web browser.
Very cute!
Happy Hallowe’en.
For a rookie parent, you show much wisdom and foresight.
OTOH, a selection of appropriate unpublished but preserved photographs may provide a modicum of needed parental leverage in the future.
Are you making plans for Quasimodo Sunday (re Introit at Mass, “Quasi modo geniti infantes, rationabile, sine dolo lac concupiscite”)? (First Sunday after Easter; The Octave Day of Easter, Low Sunday; Dominica in albis depositis, White Sunday, Whitsunday, St. Thomas Sunday, Pascha clausum)
That ought to give SteelyKid enough ballast to reset the Earth-moon barycenter.
Awwwwwwww……. the grands did things up right – all the way down to the pumpkin socks. She’s sweeter than all the candy in the world – not to mention better for your teeth.
And that smile! Chock full of baby goodness.
