"Alan Shepard actually hit two balls on the Apollo 14 mission of 1971, and they are still on the Moon, he said in a 1991 interview on the Academy of Achievement Web site for students."

The real question is, can we get this as a cross-stitch primer for the nursery?

"Away with all those forgettable “snowman, candy cane, Christmas tree, gingerbread man” cookie cutters! What you need is an 18th C. cookie mold more than nine inches across, showing Elijah being carried off in his chariot, Elisha being mocked by the disobedient children of Bethel, and, right there in the foreground, a disobedient child being eaten by a bear. That’s putting the old-time religion back into Christmas, you betcha."

Thanks for the congratulations! It was a pretty unforgettable experience. My legs haven’t forgotten yet, anyway. I’m moving like a very elderly person, and groaning when I stand up. But I’m also carrying the medal around in my bag, where I can pull it out and look at it from time to time. 🙂
