My Teams Stink

There’s been much less hoops-blogging than usual around here this year for a couple of reasons. For one thing, I’m busy with work, and more substantive blogging, so I don’t have time to watch a lot of games. I’m also playing a fair amount of basketball these days, both pick-up games at lunch, and IM games Sunday evenings, and a lot of my hoop-related energies are going into that.

Really, though, the main reason for the scanty hoops-blogging is that my favorite teams both stink. Syracuse got bombed by Notre Dame last night, and Maryland rolled over after the half against Florida State. And, of course, because neither team is any good right now, they’re not on tv, so I can’t even watch the games and comment afterwards (I did listen to a bunch of the Maryland game on Internet radio, but I won’t write detailed comments based on audio only). The only fun either team offers at the moment is the prospect of watching Jeremy Gold’s head explode on the web.

So, here’s a place-holder basketball post. If you’ve been missing the hoops blogging, consider this a basketball Open Thread. Here, I’ll give you a topic: The Final Four teams will be Florida, Ohio State, North Carolina, and ______?
