We had some heavy rain on Friday, so when I went for a bike ride on Saturday, the Mohawk was pretty high. It was particularly impressive at Lock 8:

OK, it’s not exactly levee-breaking bad, but it was fairly impressive. I don’t have any pictures of the normal condition for contrast, so you’ll have to take my word for it that it’s a dramatic difference.
Don’t know where you are, but this shows water levels 5-6′ above normal…

5-6′ is a lot of water.
It also suggests that these are record levels (previous max daily streamflow was 17300 cfs, 1977; 80 years record). I find this a little doubtful, actually. Hmm.
