— I’m giving a talk about the material in the new book<\/a> on Wednesday the 13th at 6:30pm in Bristol<\/a>, at the Institute of Physics. I’m doing this one TED-style, with no words on the slides, so it’s both exciting and terrifying. Especially since I’m trying to make jokes about soccer to a British audience… Anyway, I think there are still seats, so come watch me fly without a net.<\/p>\n — I’m on program(me) at Worldcon<\/a>, the most important item of which is the Kaffeeklatsch<\/a> on Thursday evening,which is just me hanging out and chatting with people for an hour. I’m a little worried that basically nobody will show up for this, so if you’re going to be at the con, stop by.<\/p>\n — It’s too late to sign up to attend, but for completeness, I’ll list it: I’m speaking about cool atomic physics experiments at the Nordita Workshop for Science Writers<\/a> on Friday the 29th.<\/p>\n In between those widely spaced events, we’ll be doing touristy stuff, but when and where isn’t really your business. There may be semi-regular updates here, and on other social media, or there may not.
