We will have sporadic Internet access, but don&#8217;t expect any blogging before next Wednesday. Not that anybody&#8217;s going to be reading blogs over the weekend, anyway&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;d like some seasonal music, below the fold is a list of the 21 songs from the holiday playlist that earn a four or five star rating. The first two are the five-star songs, and the rest rated four stars. If you put a gun to my head and made me pick three from that set to round out a Top Five, I&#8217;d go with &#8220;Father Christmas,&#8221; the Darlene Love &#8220;Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),&#8221; and &#8220;The Man in the Santa Suit,&#8221; but I&#8217;m not deeply committed to any of those.<\/p>\n<p>(Also, I&#8217;m not sure what to make of the fact that three of that top five are concerned with class issues and economic hardship&#8230;)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re off to do our annual holiday trek all over New England.
