Given the <a href=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/principles\/2010\/07\/bonus_toddler_blogging_balloon.php\">recent video I posted<\/a>, one of her presents was really obvious:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/principles\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/467\/files\/2012\/04\/i-1509931adedcb5f9f44aa1bd0078d77e-sm_dunk.jpg\" alt=\"i-1509931adedcb5f9f44aa1bd0078d77e-sm_dunk.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As you can tell, she&#8217;s inherited her father&#8217;s skillset. If the dunk picture doesn&#8217;t convince you, this picture of her ace ball-handling ought to:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/principles\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/467\/files\/2012\/04\/i-0c4a9485bf6445a247274c62dbbbbc02-sm_dribble.jpg\" alt=\"i-0c4a9485bf6445a247274c62dbbbbc02-sm_dribble.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Not even two, and she can dribble it off her foot, just like her old man. She&#8217;s a prodigy, she is.<\/p>\n<p>The hoop and ball were a big hit&#8211; we had to drage the ball along with us when we went out to dinner that night. The other big treat of the day was a  visit from Grandma and Grandpa, who brought along this beauty:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/principles\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/467\/files\/2012\/04\/i-06ba211c17d3e39766bd359c9313dca1-sm_spray.jpg\" alt=\"i-06ba211c17d3e39766bd359c9313dca1-sm_spray.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s a fire truck (&#8220;Truck! Vroom VROOM!&#8221;) with a hose that sprays water. It took a little while to get the idea, and she&#8217;s not quite big enough to pump it effectively herself, but it&#8217;s a big hit. Especially when the adults jump and scramble to get out of the path of the spray&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow, she&#8217;s off to her Grammy&#8217;s in Boston for a few days, and a party this weekend. I&#8217;m sure there&#8217;s absolutely no chance of her getting spoiled at all. Nope.
