This has left me feeling jet-lagged, a neat trick when I never left the Eastern time zone, but perhaps Saturday&#8217;s visit to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pubdog.net\/federal_hill.html\">Pub Dog<\/a> had something to do with it&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We had a number of discussions about the meaning of the word &#8220;Outreach&#8221; in a physics context, which is one of those Damon Knight\/ Potter Stewart, &#8220;I know it when I point at it&#8221; kind of terms. I&#8217;m interested in what opinions people outside the committee have, though, so here&#8217;s a poll for you:<\/p>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\" charset=\"utf-8\" src=\"http:\/\/static.polldaddy.com\/p\/3460953.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<noscript><br \/>\n\t<a href=\"http:\/\/polldaddy.com\/poll\/3460953\/\">&#8220;Outreach&#8221; activities in science include (check all you feel apply):<\/a><span style=\"font-size:9px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/polldaddy.com\/features-surveys\/\">survey software<\/a><\/span><br \/>\n<\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>This ought to be a ticky-box poll rather than a radio-button poll (unless I broke something), so check as many items as you like.
