These will be pretty hard to top, but there are still lots of laser applications that have not been mentioned, so be sure to get your vote in by Monday:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cat toy\/ dog toy\/ laser light show<\/li>\n<li>Laser cooling\/ BEC<\/li>\n<li>Measuring the Earth-Moon distance<\/li>\n<li>Optical tweezers<\/li>\n<li>Optical storage media (CD\/DVD\/Blu-Ray)<\/li>\n<li>LIGO<\/li>\n<li>Telecommunications<\/li>\n<li>Holography<\/li>\n<li>Laser ignited fusion<\/li>\n<li>Laser eye surgery<\/li>\n<li>Laser frequency comb\/ spectroscopy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Those are in order roughly according to the number of times each was mentioned in the comments to last week&#8217;s post.
