So, how did they do this year? Here are the science books on this year&#8217;s list:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><cite>The Age of Entanglement: When Quantum Physics Was Reborn<\/cite> By LOUISA GILDER<\/li>\n<li><cite>The Age of Wonder: How the Romantic Generation Discovered the Beauty and Terror of Science<\/cite> By RICHARD HOLMES<\/li>\n<li><cite>Cold: Adventures in the World&#8217;s Frozen Places<\/cite> By BILL STREEVER<\/li>\n<li><cite>The Invention of Air: A Story of Science, Faith, Revolution, and the Birth of America<\/cite> By STEVEN JOHNSON<\/li>\n<li><cite>The Strangest Man: The Hidden Life of Paul Dirac, Mystic of the Atom<\/cite> By GRAHAM FARMELO<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That&#8217;s five books that are definitely about science, the most <a href=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/principles\/2007\/11\/notable_science_of_the_recent.php\">since 2005<\/a>, and does not include <cite>The Fires of Vesuvius: Pompeii Lost and Found<\/cite> by Mary Beard, <cite>The Lost City Of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon<\/cite> by David Grann, or <cite>The Myth of the Rational Market: A History of Risk, Reward, and Delusion on Wall Street<\/cite> by Justin Fox, all of which might contain some science content, depending on what you count as a science.<\/p>\n<p>Honestly, I can&#8217;t complain.
