You might not think that you want to read a blog that goes through freshman physics problems in detail&#8211; I would&#8217;ve been dubious on the concept, had you explained it to me that way&#8211; but it&#8217;s really excellent stuff.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s recently completed a series of posts on <a href=\"http:\/\/hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu\/Hbase\/electric\/maxeq.html\">Maxwell&#8217;s Equations<\/a>, with one post for each of the four equations, plus one bringing them all together: <a href=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/builtonfacts\/2009\/08\/maxwells_equations_1.php\">Gauss&#8217;s Law for Magnetism<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/builtonfacts\/2009\/08\/maxwells_equations_2.php\">Gauss&#8217;s Law for Electricity<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/builtonfacts\/2009\/08\/maxwells_equations_3.php\">Faraday&#8217;s Law<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/builtonfacts\/2009\/08\/maxwells_equations_4.php\">the Ampere-Maxwell Law<\/a> (the only one Maxwell added anything to), and <a href=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/builtonfacts\/2009\/08\/maxwells_equations_light.php\">Maxwell&#8217;s Equations &amp; Light<\/a>. These posts are excellent, concise, readable introductions to these equations and why they matter. Somebody get this kid a textbook-writing contract.<\/p>\n<p>With those posts as a resource, this is an excellent time for a Dorky Poll:<\/p>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\" language=\"javascript\" charset=\"utf-8\" src=\"http:\/\/static.polldaddy.com\/p\/1887977.js\"><\/script><noscript><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/answers.polldaddy.com\/poll\/1887977\/\">What&#8217;s your favorite of Maxwell&#8217;s Equations?<\/a><span style=\"font-size:9px;\">(<a href=\"http:\/\/answers.polldaddy.com\">polls<\/a>)<\/span><br \/>\n<\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>I know they&#8217;re all lovely equations, but you really have to choose only one of them to be your favorite.
