{"id":3865,"date":"2009-07-13T09:45:06","date_gmt":"2009-07-13T09:45:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/principles\/2009\/07\/13\/chicago\/"},"modified":"2009-07-13T09:45:06","modified_gmt":"2009-07-13T09:45:06","slug":"chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/chadorzel.com\/principles\/2009\/07\/13\/chicago\/","title":{"rendered":"Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As noted last Friday, I spent the weekend in Chicago with a bunch of friends from college, which kept me pretty busy&#8211; some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theglenclub.com\/layout10.asp?id=180&#038;page=3746\">golf<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jameshotels.com\/Chicago-Hotel.aspx?name=The-James-Chicago&#038;page=Primehouse\">ridiculously upscale steaks<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.heavenonseven.com\/wabash.html\">improbably located Cajun food<\/a>, a Cubs game (5-2 Cubs over Cardinals), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.twinanchorsribs.com\/\">ribs, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kingstonmines.com\/\">live blues music<\/a> (from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.joannaconnorband.com\/\">Joanna Connor<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/duketumatoe.com\/\">Duke Tumatoe<\/a>). I think that&#8217;s pretty much everything that you need to do in Chicago, save for pizza. I probably would&#8217;ve gotten pizza, had I had a later flight.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I had a really good time. Of course, this was all taking place in the context of a Darwinian program to evolve a better brain by pickling the less fit neurons. I think there may be a flaw in our reasoning, there, but I&#8217;m not sure exactly what. The relevant cells appear to have gone missing.<\/p>\n<p>The point being, I&#8217;m beat, and not functioning at my highest level today.
