Kate&#8217;s in Rochester for a court appearance, leaving me home with SteelyKid, so this seems like a perfect occasion for a third go-round.<\/p>\n<p>The pairs of words in the following list are consecutive words from pop songs that I think might be identifiable given just those two words.The songs range from kind of obvious to impossibly obscure. If you think you know the answer, post a comment completing the line, and then suggest your own two-word phrase from a different song for other people to try to guess.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>First of all, here are five from the second quiz that never got guessed. I&#8217;ve added two additional words from the same song (not consecutive with the first pair) as an aid to guessing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A) &#8220;wearing tulle&#8221; and &#8220;beauty&#8217;s just&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>B) &#8220;spare bulb&#8221; and &#8220;hydro field&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>C) &#8220;platinum chain&#8221; and &#8220;transactional analysis&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>D) &#8220;Fidel Castro&#8221; and &#8220;Blackie and&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>E) &#8220;ain&#8217;t amoebas&#8221; and &#8220;no porcupine&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And now, a whole new set:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>patchouli oil<\/li>\n<li>rock-n-roll clown<\/li>\n<li>Easter Mass<\/li>\n<li>counting loonies<\/li>\n<li>loonies off<\/li>\n<li>chemical sky<\/li>\n<li>asbestos sky<\/li>\n<li>silver spaceships<\/li>\n<li>deconstruct me<\/li>\n<li>rap metal<\/li>\n<li>Jesus rides<\/li>\n<li>glowing bronze<\/li>\n<li>Italian mobster<\/li>\n<li>underwire bra<\/li>\n<li>late-night promises<\/li>\n<li>seventeen eyes<\/li>\n<li>bosom for<\/li>\n<li>Einstein disguised<\/li>\n<li>soap impression<\/li>\n<li>free milk<\/li>\n<li>fifty-pound notes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Once again, to guess a song, complete the line containing those words, and suggest two more from a different song.
