That may not sound like much, but it&#8217;s the first time anybody has done this with ions in two completely separate traps, in different vacuum systems. It&#8217;s also <a href=\"http:\/\/physicsworld.com\/cws\/article\/news\/37450\">written up in <cite>Physics World<\/cite><\/a>, though they spell Chris Monroe&#8217;s name wrong throughout.<\/p>\n<p>The paper is coming out in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencemag.org\/cgi\/content\/abstract\/323\/5913\/486\"><cite>Science<\/cite><\/a>, and I may try to write it up for a ResearchBlogging post over the weekend. I may also need to add it to the quantum teleportation chapter of the book-in-progress.
