The market is dramatically tougher now than it was just two or three years ago; to suggest that the candidate pool worsened in that time by several orders of magnitude is simply silly. The disconnect between \u00e2\u0080\u0098candidate quality\u00e2\u0080\u0099 and \u00e2\u0080\u0098market quality\u00e2\u0080\u0099 is so dramatic, at this point, that the \u00e2\u0080\u0098merit\u00e2\u0080\u0099 narrative is simply unsustainable.
