This time out, that&#8217;s the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.donorschoose.org\/donors\/proposal.html?id=202092&#038;challengeid=19006&#038;zone=0\">&#8220;Sizzling Science&#8221;<\/a> proposal, from Broward County, FL. This description echoes sentiments that are frequently expressed here and elsewhere in blogdom:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>What does a scientist look like? My students need to know that a scientist looks just like them. In fact, they are scientists. They can think like a scientist, hypothesize like a scientist, experiment like a scientist and then report their work to the scientific community using presentation boards.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The proposal seeks funding to buy presentation boards for a science fair, so the students can not only do science themselves, but share it with the rest of the school. <\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t like that one, there are lots of other worthy proposals on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.donorschoose.org\/donors\/viewChallenge.html?id=19006\">my challenge entry<\/a>.
