Sabine Hossenfelder has a nice <a href=\"http:\/\/backreaction.blogspot.com\/2008\/08\/science-in-21st-century.html\">run-down of the program at Backreaction<\/a>, and it sounds really interesting.<\/p>\n<p>I have my talk more or less ready&#8211; I started making slides a week or two ago, because I wasn&#8217;t sure how long it would take, doing talk prep in between diaper changes and baby feedings. I had hoped to get a couple of colleagues to listen to it, but that&#8217;s probably not going to happen, so I&#8217;ll be working without much of a net (Kate&#8217;s heard me run through a rough version, but then she&#8217;s heard me rant at length about these topics before, so it&#8217;s not exactly new to her&#8230;). I think it should be fun, all the same.<\/p>\n<p>Registration is closed, so even if you happen to be in the right part of Canada, you can&#8217;t attend. Given the crowd of highly technical people assembled for this, though, I&#8217;d be surprised if it wasn&#8217;t live-blogged or podcasted or some such.
