{"id":2754,"date":"2008-07-18T13:51:39","date_gmt":"2008-07-18T13:51:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/principles\/2008\/07\/18\/physics-magazine\/"},"modified":"2008-07-18T13:51:39","modified_gmt":"2008-07-18T13:51:39","slug":"physics-magazine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/chadorzel.com\/principles\/2008\/07\/18\/physics-magazine\/","title":{"rendered":"Physics Magazine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On a happier note than the previous post, the American Physical Society has launched a new publication, called simply &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/physics.aps.org\/\"><cite>Physics<\/cite><\/a>.&#8221; The goal is &#8220;to highlight exceptional papers within the body of excellent research that the American Physical Society publishes each year in all of the <cite>Physical Review<\/cite> journals.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The first issue features a really good piece by <a href=\"http:\/\/physics.aps.org\/articles\/v1\/2\">Steve Rolston on ultra-cold plasmas<\/a> (full disclosure: Steve was my supervisor at NIST, and I was an author on the first ultra-cold plasma paper, so I&#8217;m inclined to like this stuff), and <a href=\"http:\/\/physics.aps.org\/articles\/v1\/4\">Steve Lamoreaux on Casimir forces<\/a>.
