{"id":2646,"date":"2008-05-25T09:45:29","date_gmt":"2008-05-25T09:45:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/principles\/2008\/05\/25\/built-on-facts\/"},"modified":"2008-05-25T09:45:29","modified_gmt":"2008-05-25T09:45:29","slug":"built-on-facts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/chadorzel.com\/principles\/2008\/05\/25\/built-on-facts\/","title":{"rendered":"Built On Facts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Every now and then, I look at the huge list of blogs and news sources in my RSS feeds, and say to myself &#8220;You really need to thin these out&#8230;&#8221; How can I make any progress, though, when there are always great new blogs being created?<\/p>\n<p>The latest new blog to ctach my interest and increment my subscription total is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.builtonfacts.com\/\">Built On Facts<\/a> by a grad student named Matt, which was linked to by <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.scienceforums.net\/swansont\/archives\/341\">Tom<\/a>. It features everything from a discussion of shaky physics in the new <cite>Indiana Jones<\/cite> movie to discussions of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.builtonfacts.com\/2008\/05\/21\/physics-of-sniping\/\">the physics or marksmanship<\/a>, to an entire category of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.builtonfacts.com\/category\/worked-problems\/\">worked problems<\/a>, with equations and everything.<\/p>\n<p>OK, fine, those all involve physics, so maybe it&#8217;s not that big a range (what are you, some sort of stamp collector?). But the writing and the physics are both excellent.
