In one of those “Living in the Future” sorts of moments, our regular lunchtime pick-up basketball game has an email listserver. Pretty much every day there’s a game, there’s some email chatter and trash talk. My signature comment is to describe one of the other players as being “Weak like a really weak thing.”<\/p>\n

One of my colleagues from the bio department decided to up the ante, and videotape some trash talk:<\/p>\n

There’s been a recent elevation in the level of trash talk on the email list, which has unfortunately coincided with a dramatic decrease in the quality of play. I think the two are unrelated, and hopefully, this video won’t send us into a total tailspin…<\/p>\n

(It should also be noted that, objectively speaking, Steve is probably the best basketball player in the regular crowd. I’m in the top three or four, depending on the day.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
