In this case, the proposal is titled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.donorschoose.org\/donors\/proposal.html?id=103082&#038;challengeid=17166&#038;zone=0\">&#8220;Weighing In&#8221;<\/a>, which is pretty accurate:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p> Our 7th &#038; 8th graders from our classes in Buffalo, NY are in need of scales to develop their measurement skills in science.<\/p>\n<p>My project needs 3 Triple Beam Balances. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This is a high-poverty district (80% qualify for free lunch), and they&#8217;re looking for $420 to buy scales for a science lab. You wouldn&#8217;t think they&#8217;d need to go begging for something that basic, but that&#8217;s where things are these days.<\/p>\n<p>They&#8217;re $292 short of the goal. If you&#8217;re interested in supporting really basic science education, think about sending them some money.
