It&#8217;s split over 100 individual pages, and tarted up with lots of slow-to-load graphics, so here are their top twenty films:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>20) <cite>Mad Max<\/cite><\/li>\n<li>19) <cite>Frankenstein<\/cite> (the 1931 version)<\/li>\n<li>18) <cite>2001: A Space Odyssey<\/cite><\/li>\n<li>17) <cite>Solaris<\/cite> (the 1972 version)<\/li>\n<li>16) <cite>Invasion of the Body Snatchers<\/cite> (the 1956 version)<\/li>\n<li>15) <cite>The Terminator<\/cite><\/li>\n<li>14) <cite>Brazil<\/cite><\/li>\n<li>13) <cite>Galaxy Quest<\/cite><\/li>\n<li>12) <cite>Bride of Frankenstein<\/cite><\/li>\n<li>11) <cite>The Road Warrior<\/cite><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(The top 10 are after the cut&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10) <cite>Aliens<\/cite><\/li>\n<li>9) <cite>Star Wars<\/cite> (the 1977 version)<\/li>\n<li>8) <cite>The Host<\/cite> (a Korean movie from this year)<\/li>\n<li>7) <cite>Children of Men<\/cite><\/li>\n<li>6) <cite>The Empire Strikes Back<\/cite> (the 1980 version)<\/li>\n<li>5) <cite>Minority Report<\/cite><\/li>\n<li>4) <cite>Alien<\/cite><\/li>\n<li>3) <cite>Metropolis<\/cite><\/li>\n<li>2) <cite>Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind<\/cite><\/li>\n<li>1) <cite>E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial<\/cite><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It&#8217;s in&#8230; interesting list. It&#8217;s somewhat skewed toward recent movies (four of the top ten are from 2002 or later), but that&#8217;s not terribly surprising given that it&#8217;s based on a compilation of ratings from the Internet. That aside, though, it&#8217;s a pretty reasonable list.<\/p>\n<p>The other remarkable thing about this is that there are four original-sequel pairs (<cite>Frankenstein<\/cite>\/ <cite>Bride of Frankenstein<\/cite>, <cite>Mad Max<\/cite>\/<cite>The Road Warrior<\/cite>, <cite>Alien<\/cite>\/<cite>Aliens<\/cite>, and <cite>Star Wars<\/cite>\/<cite>The Empire Strikes Back<\/cite>). I&#8217;m not sure what this means, other than that SF is an extremely series-heavy genre, but it&#8217;s sort of interesting.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think of the list?
