Examples abound: <cite>X-Men 3<\/cite>, <cite>Superman 3<\/cite>, <cite>The Matrix Revolutions<\/cite>, <cite>Return of the Jedi<\/cite>. What are some of the reasons for this problem? Are tthere examples of film series that avoid it? Can the <cite>Star Wars<\/cite> prequel trilogy be thought of as following this trajectory in reverse?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Comments are open.
