These showed that Emmy&#8217;s kidney function is somewhat impaired, leading to yet more tests, and as of last night an extensive regimen of new stuff:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10422\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10422\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/principles\/files\/2015\/12\/sm_dog_meds.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/principles\/files\/2015\/12\/sm_dog_meds.jpg\" alt=\"Emmy&#039;s new medication.\" width=\"600\" height=\"447\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10422\" srcset=\"http:\/\/chadorzel.com\/principles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/sm_dog_meds.jpg 600w, http:\/\/chadorzel.com\/principles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/sm_dog_meds-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10422\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Emmy&#8217;s new medication.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>That&#8217;s some new kidney-friendly food (in both dry and canned varieties), a drug for her kidneys, an antibiotic in case she has a bladder infection (something she&#8217;s been prone to; those test results are yet to come back), and a bunch of different vitamins. This on top of the antacid pills we were told to start giving her a couple days ago.<\/p>\n<p>What a drag it is getting old&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, one of these things doesn&#8217;t agree with her, as her stomach is upset this morning.
