He&#8217;s publicly stated a goal of 6,000 words per week, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tobiasbuckell.com\/2007\/01\/02\/help-me-reach-my-goals-for-2007\/\">pledges to donate a nickel<\/a> for every word he&#8217;s short of that, to a charity chosen by his readers (a different one each week).<\/p>\n<p>How&#8217;s he doing so far? He&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tobiasbuckell.com\/2007\/01\/12\/novel-progress-and-charity-update-2\/\">out almost $200<\/a> in the first two weeks. But it&#8217;s early yet&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re so inclined, head on over there and vote for who should get the money. You might also consider buying a copy or two of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.steelypips.org\/library\/2006_03_01_libarchive.php#114152517001979749\"><cite>Crystal Rain<\/cite><\/a>, which really is excellent.
