Act I:<\/strong><\/p>\n

STEELYKID and THE PIP: Happy Father’s Day, Daddy!<\/p>\n

DADDY: Aww, that’s sweet. So, what are you going to make me for breakfast?<\/p>\n

STEELYKID and THE PIP: What?<\/p>\n

DADDY: It’s father’s day, right? So you guys should be cooking breakfast for me.<\/p>\n

STEELYKID and THE PIP: No!!!!<\/p>\n

THE PIP: We can’t cook breakfast for you. We’re not tall enough to bake stuff. And, also, we’re not allowed to cook.<\/p>\n

DADDY: Well, I’m your father, so I can give you permission to cook breakfast.<\/p>\n

STEELYKID: Yeah, but we don’t know how<\/em> to cook.<\/p>\n

THE PIP: Yeah, so you<\/em> have to cook pancakes for us<\/em>!<\/p>\n

DADDY: Oh, all right. I guess I can do that. {Heads into kitchen}<\/p>\n

{End of Act I}<\/p>\n

Act II:<\/strong><\/p>\n

{DADDY is in the kitchen, cooking pancakes. A very loud THUMP<\/em><\/strong> comes from the living room.}<\/p>\n

DADDY: [The Pip], what are you doing in there?<\/p>\n

THE PIP: Nothing, now.<\/p>\n

DADDY: What were<\/em> you doing just now that resulted in a big loud THUMP<\/em><\/strong>?<\/p>\n

THE PIP: Well, I’m not going to tell you.<\/p>\n

DADDY {walking into the living room with a pancake}: I see. Well, do you know what we do to toddlers who make big loud THUMP<\/em><\/strong> noises and won’t tell what they did?<\/p>\n

THE PIP: No…<\/p>\n

DADDY: We tickle them<\/em>!<\/p>\n

{Wild shrieks of laughter. Curtain.}<\/p>\n

So, that’s how my morning is going. Hope the other fathers out there are getting backtalk that’s half as cute.<\/p>\n
